Hi Jennifer,
I hope that you can help me with my problem. Each time I try to post a reply, the board asks me to log in. Sometimes, when I hit "submit reply", it will ask me to log in a second time and when I try to get back to my posting, it's usually gone.

This has been going on for quite a while. I had been away from the board for about five months during which some changes were made and I thought that the constant logging-in might be part of the new system. But, when it started asking me to log-in twice, on one posting, I finally got smart and emailed CL. I've emailed them twice, but I haven't received a reply. I asked lindrusso for help on a "goofy behavior on BB" thread that she started, and she suggested that I contact you. I would appreciate any help that you can give me.
Thanks,
Melina

Hi Melina,

BethY just asked the same question, so if you read her message this is going to be a bit of a repeat. (Forgive me for lack of creativity)

The feature that automatically logs you on to the bulletin board is called a "cookie." Cookie settings are set on your individual computer. However, there is an option in your user profile that says "Browse board with cookies" and I made sure it was set to "yes." Below are directions on how to change your cookie settings.

As for emailing CL, your message was sent to our customer service department. Sometimes there is a lag time from when it gets to them and when we receive it.

Let me know how it goes.

Jennifer

On a PC with Internet Explorer...
Go to Tools
Internet Options
Click on the Security tab
Check your security zone. If it is set at HIGH then cookies are automatically
disabled. To change your cookie settings, click on "Custom Level" and scroll
down to "cookies". Set the first cookie setting to "enable" to allow cookies,
"disable" to not accept cookies, or "prompt" to be asked each time if you want to accept a cookie or not.
Then click OK and quit and relaunch your browser.

In Netscape...
Go to Edit
Preferences
Click on "Advanced" in the left column
Then choose the appropriate choice under "Cookies" on the right side of the
window.
Then click OK and quit and relaunch your browser.
