I know there have to be more of us out there using the BB as a procrastination tool. My exams start on Wednesday -- does anyone else have tests coming up?

Nancy,

I don't have a final exam to study for, however, I do have a major research paper to complete by next Monday. Luckily it's almost done and then I'LL BE FINISHED!!!!!! I've been working on my Master's part-time for a few years and this is my final class and paper. I can't wait to be done with school for awhile! Good luck with your studying. This BB is a great study break!

Me! I have a law school final to be studying for. It is next wednesday and I CANNOT motivate myself to get cracking on it.

And Catharine is out there, too. ;)

I'm finishing up my first semester of a year-long program in Electronic Publishing. In the next 2 weeks I have to design and complete a brochure, a restaurant logo, a final project, and also have two exams - *Whew!* Good thing I like my classes so much. ;)

Peggy - CONGRATULATIONS!! What a great feeling to be nearly finished with your Master's degree! What is your field of study?

Nancy - how about you? What are you studying?

At least I can sneak in BB time while I'm at work during the day, but I really should be using that as extra study time.

Good luck with your school work, everyone! Now back to work! :D

I got up early to study and here I am again...

Good luck everybody, and congratulations to Peggy for finishing. Okay, back to my business associations outline.

Just wanted to wish you all the best. My DH came to bed at 2 am, after working on a paper for Resource Economics which is due today. I don't think he is quite finished- I see a pile of materials on the kitchen table- but we will BOTH be glad when it is over. It's his first term as a grad student...

PEGGY Congratulations!! How are you going to celebrate? Sleep? ;)

Nancy- what university are you attending (if you don't mind me asking)? I travel to the Bay Area a couple of times a year, visiting universities...

GOOD LUCK, STUDENTS!!

Well, I guess I was being better yesterday than I thought because I didn't see this post until today! All week I have been guiltily reading the board when I should have been...

Writing one 10-page paper, and two 5-page papers
Putting together two portfolios
Studying for two finals

BUT today was my LAST final EVER! (At least until I go back to get my Masters some day.) I start student teaching in January and graduate in May. Hurray!!!!

He, he, he - you got me, Laura :) [Good luck on your exam!]

Yes. Here I am procrastinating (although at this very moment I am "relaxing" since I just got home from my grueling "Virginia Practice" Exam). Tomorrow at 1 pm I have Business Associations {Nancy - mind sending me your outline? he, he - mine is a big old mess!}

Next week I have employment discrimination and remedies. Ugh! And then I have a 25-page seminar paper on "Law, Language and Ethics."

Needless to say, this has NOT been a fun semester. Next semester won't be much better.

But...I just found out I passed the MPRE, I got a clerkship, this is my final year, I just booked a trip for spring break and in a week and half from now I will be vegging out and/or decorating me tree. Woo-hoo. Gotta look on the bright side :)

Was hoping I could fly under the radar here but, nope caught again!

I have three exams on Tuesday - Child Psych, Biology, Liberal Studies and am in the midst of writing a 12 page paper that is also due on Tuesday. Oy

Then after that 3 long, lovely, decadent weeks off before it all starts again in January! Oh, this grind . . . .

Just checking on all of the hard-working students! My paper is done and I am SOOOOOOO excited about finishing, I probably won't be able to concentrate in class tomorrow night! Thank you all for you well wishes. This Master's program has been on my back burner for a long time and I'm so happy to be finished!

Kathryn - My Master's is in Education. How are your design projects coming along?

Julie - I'm not sure how I will celebrate... I don't think it has hit me yet that there will be no more papers or presentations. That has been my life for the past few years! My parents are coming up for my graduation in January, so perhaps I will celebrate then. I know my Dh and DD are already singing praises that I will no longer have night classes to attend!

LGBurns - What grade/subject will you be student teaching? I loved my student teaching experiences. I did kindergarten and third grade. The funny thing is now I really enjoy the older students. Go figure! Every grade has something exciting to offer. Congratulations on finishing your didactic work.

Everyone else facing finals and papers - Good Luck! It's almost over...

Why must they end classes right before Christmas??? There are so many distractions. Studying is the last thing you want to be doing!

Peggy - are you a middle/high school teacher?? That's what I'm working on now, Secondary Ed. Can you tell me how you like it? Or if you would prefer to teach something else? What do you teach?

Thanks!
Debie

finals tomorrow - paper finished, my brains are fried!

Good luck to all of you! Last week was finals week at the university where I work and the students have gone home and the faculty has hightailed it out of here and we are all anxiously awaiting our winter break.

Congrats on your Master's Peggy. One of my nephews is getting his MBA this week and I'm happy for him.

Linda, I'm glad to hear that you now get to student teach, keep us posted on how it goes.

Peggy: Thanks for asking. I am a history major and will be student teaching in a high school. Right now, due to some crazy stuff that I can't really get into right now (and don't really want to get into because I'll start to rant--once it's all over I'll fill ya in on the gory details), I don't know where or what specific history subject yet. I do know that I am so excited to begin teaching teens. During my practicum hours I got to teach a few lessons, and I had a blast. God bless 'em, I love those hormone-raging, crack-me-up every day, good-hearted kids!

Wendy: Thanks for the well-wishes. I'll definitely keep you posted!

Laura, I don't even know what article nine is  ! Maybe by the time I'm a 3L...

Catherine, I hope Business Associations went well for you (and congratulations on all of your other accomplishments). I'm still muddling through two tier tender offers and the Unocal test, hoping to get it all together by Wednesday (and then get Tax together by Thursday).

Good luck everyone.

I have a ten page paper that i have almost started due by 5pm Wed. Yet, I have yet to begin worrying. Disturbing. Maybe I should disconnect the phone line from my computer. . .

LOL. Been there, done that. I am seriously thinking of taking out my network card and giving to DH to keep hostage until after my exam. Yes, I should probably do that.

Debie - Sorry I didn't get back to you right away. I have a multiple subjects credential for K-8. However, right now I am an Educational Facilitator for a charter school that works with home schooling families. My students range from 1st grade to seniors in high school. Talk about a steep learning curve! I have had to become familiar with all the state standards and curriculum for all of the grade levels at the same time. It has been a challenge but very rewarding. To answer your question, I do love what I am teaching, but currently that is all grades. Alittle unusual! You sure have a heavy Tuesday schedule! Three exams and a paper due?? Yikes! Good luck!

Wendy - Thanks for your well wishes. I just returned from class and I'M DONE!!!!:D

LGBurns - I'm sure your assignment will be worked out soon. There always seem to be last minute placement changes. That happened to a lot of my classmates. What an exciting time for you! Keep me posted. I would love to hear how it is going for you in the classroom.

Sending more positive thoughts to all of the studying students!

Another law school procrastinator checking in! Ugh--one final down, two more to go until holiday break. I think this semester has definitely been worse than usual. I am only a night student 2L (so not a REAL 2L yet) So much law school left.

Best of luck to all the other students out there.
