It is that time of year again to make our resolutions on how we are going to improve ourselves over the new year! I just found my list from last year, it was pretty ambitios, as these things seem to always be.
So, I am curious, do you make New Years Resolutions or not, and do you stick with them?
I'll go first. My resolutions for 2001 were:
1. Work out 3x/week - this worked for the first 5 months of the year, but then we moved to Colorado, and that about did this goal in.
2. No more credit card late fees - I was bad about getting my bill sent in only 2 or 3 days before the due date in 2000, and so I was getting charged a late fee of $30 it seemed like every month! I actually have not had to pay any late fees this year! :)
3. Buy a house - we purchased our first house in September and are settled in and looking forward to enjoying our first Christmas in Colorado! :)
4. Learn about wine - I bought DH a book called Wine Savvy for Christmas last year, but with the move, this goal got dropped.
5. Complete 2 craft projects - I made hats for myself and DH this year.
6. Read 2 books per month - Again, I did this the first 5 months, and then this got dropped.
Not bad! I am still working on goals for 2002, but here is what I have so far:
1. I am picking up the working out 3x/week again. I am going to try to add doing yoga once/week to this.
2. Reading more - this is just something I really enjoy and it tends to get dropped when I get busy
3. Improve eating veggies with meals. This is so hard because by the time I get done making a main dish, who feels like doing anything but heating up some peas in the micro! I am going to try to make more interesting veggie sides this year.
4. Work on getting CEU's for my Human Resources certification. I have to recertify and if I don't get enough CEU's I'll have to re-take my test  I DO NOT want to do that!
Maybe we can think of a way to keep us on track with our goals. I started posting on the HLSG thread on the Health Living board - maybe we can start a NYRSG (New Years Resolution Support Group) to stay on track in 2002. Maybe a resolution would be to keep a support group going! :)
