I don't know what I did, but we weren't very impressed with Dracula's revenge. It wasn't bad, by any means, but not a repeater for us. Too much work for too bland a taste.
I just hate being in the minority on things like this. :-)

I made this one over the weekend too. And although I didn't like it much, my husband loved it.
But I cheated a little, actually I cheated alot. I used regular Italian sausage--the hot and spicy kind and I added a bunch of sliced mushrooms. Since I had read the posts before I made it, I only used 5 cups of milk and it still didn't thicken up too much until after it was baked--I baked it for about 30 minutes.
I thought the whole roasted garlic thing was smelly and time consuming. I opened all the windows that aren't painted shut and turned on the ceiling fans and the whole house still smelled awful for the rest of the evening. And after all that, I didn't like the roasted garlic taste in the finished product. I would make it again, but I'd do something different with the garlic.

I made this recipe over the weekend. I too thought it was just okay. The main flavors were sausage and rosemary. I didn't get much garlic flavor and the sauce was runny (I added 5 cups of milk and extra cheese).
We certainly will eat the leftovers, but I doubt if we'll make it again.
