Hey all,

Once again - I made it to work without the grocery list - ARRGH http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/frown.gif. I even went through some of my favorite recipes and wrote the ingredients down on an index card so I could just carry it in my billfold all the time. Left it on the nightstand.

Anyway - could I impose upon someone with Mastercook (I don't want anyone to go to the trouble of typing it out by hand, as I'm the one that should be punished!)to post the recipe for the Hominy chili so I can get the ingredients?

I'm not real sure on the issue date - I would say late 1999 or early 2000. Could be in the December 1999 issue that had several soup recipes...
I think the words hominy and chili were in the title - but wouldn't bet the farm on it. It's different from the Spring Posole which also had hominy in it.

Thanks in advance. You guys have saved me an extra trip home more than once.

S.Sage.

Found Chunky Sausage-and-Hominy Chili. I don't have MasterCook, it hasn't arrived yet. But will type the ingredients for you.
1 1/4 cups bottled slasa
1 cup (1-inch) pieces red bell pepper
1 cup (1-inch) pieces yellow bell pepper
1 tbs chili powder
1 (15.5 ounce) can white hominy or whole-kernel corn, frained
1 (12 ounce) package chicken sausages with habanero chiles and tequila (such as Gerhard's), cut into 1/2 inch pieces
2 cups hot cooked rice
1/4 cup crushed baked tortilla chips
1/4 cup fresh cilantro
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup fat-free sour cream

Wish it were cool enough here to make it, it sounds wonderful!

Not necessary Stacey! You probably could post a recipe faster since I haven't received my copy of MasterCook but found this one in the 2000 Annual
