The igourmet.com thread got me to thinking that, since I'm trying to learn more about wine, a wine a month club would be great! Does anyone know if such a thing exists and where I might find such a one?

Hi Nydia,
Here's a previous thread on this discussion.

I was a member of www.atasteofcalifornia.com for a while, and we were happy with it, but I'm trying to get more involved with European or South American wines. After the start of the New Year, I'm going to search out a wine club that doesn't limit itself to a particular region.

Check with a local liquor store, sometimes they do clubs like that. DH and I are doing a wine club for Christmas this year.

Thanks, guys. I guess I should have done a search first.

No problem Nydia. Please also keep in mind that there are restrictions on where wine can be shipped. I'm not sure about the regulations in Texas, but any wine club will be able to help you.

wine.com has some info and links. You can also find out if your area is a "shippable".

We belong to one (wine.com) and it's such a treat to get surprise wine each month in the mail. It absolutely makes my day! We prefer reds, so we've chosen one with reds from around the world. They're typically wines that we wouldn't necessarily pick out on our own(simply because of lack of knowledge on our part). Our local wine shops also have clubs (you pick up the wine yourself each month at the store). any club I've ever seen offers discounts if you buy a case of one of their chosen wines. Good luck on picking a club! I'm sure it will be fun for you.
