I tried my hand at making nut milk last weekend because I kept reading about how good for you it is... The results were o.k., but after I strained (using a regular strainer)the ground nuts, there was still a "residue" left that gave the milk a funny texture.

Has anyone made this before? Would straining it again through cheesecloth significantly reduce the nutrients? I'd love some feedback. Thanks! JennyLiz

Why almond milk at all? The highest benefits come from eating almonds raw. Organic is even better! You could try running it through a coffee filter however or a fine mesh strainer that would take out more than cheesecloth, but yes you are losing valuable nutrition, particularly fiber.
