I have not been on the BB these last two weeks as it has been incredibly difficult for me lately. It's ironic in that the "holiday" keeps one busy, however, I was determined to not have it bring me down. It just sort of creeps upon me unexpectedly, and I've been feeling angry, resentful and saddened at my loss. This is totally against my "nature" to feel such anger, and I don't have anyone thing to direct it at; thus my absence lately.
However, I am hopeful of a Brighter New Year; we all have experienced loss, if not personally, but as a nation these last months. Please know I appreciate you all and wish you, myself, and this world a Brighter Year.
Beth.

Beth,
I've noticed you haven't been posting recently and I was wondering if you've been having a hard time. I posted that poem mostly with you in mind. It was on a web site that I've been visiting this past year that is just heartbreaking. To make a long story short, this couple lost their little baby girl a few months ago at the age of 7 months. She was in the hospital all her life, and they are having a tough time dealing with her death (obviously!). Someone posted that poem for them a few days ago and it just made me sob!
Sorry to be such a downer! Anyway, I wish you a much brighter New Year. I know things are very hard for you, but you seem to be doing a pretty good job of coping. :)
Give Willow a kiss!

Chrisi,
Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness.
I'm so touched you remember my kitty's name. We have so many special pets here on the BB.
Consider it done. She's been such a comfort to me.
Enjoy your New Year!
Beth

You've been in my thoughts Beth, and I hope things get a little better for you next year. You're incredibly lucky to have such a supportive family and group of friends! Consider us among them. You must take comfort knowing that you're beginning a new year with the advantage of a very special Angel looking out for you every step of the way. :)

Hi Beth,
I just got back from some time away myself (holiday travels). I've been thinking about you lately, and am sorry to hear these past few weeks have been difficult. I wish you peace, continued strength, and a brighter new year. Take care of yourself, and keep checking in with us. Your friends miss you when you're not around! :)

Beth,
Here's hoping that '02 will be a brighter year for you and that your pain and anger diminish. Having lost both my parents during the holidays (20 years apart) there is always a sadness that hits you at some point but it does get easier to deal with in time.
Beth- I have thought a lot about you these past few months. I lost my dad during the holidays of 2000, and so I am sure this has been a difficult period for you this year. Please know that you have many BB'ers thinking of you!
