Hello. Has anyone substituted jarred or fresh spaghetti sauce for the 2 8oz cans of tomato sauce in this recipe??

Hi - I haven't done the CL spaghetti pie recipe but have done a similar one for years and I use my own sauce - I really can't see what difference it would make - I use my own meat sauce in the one that I do - sometimes I use 'bought' sauces - go for it!

I used spaghetti sauce (only because I thought the other option would taste too "tomatoey" and I don't like tomatoes!) and it still turned out great.

I used a 14 1/2 oz can of tomato puree plus about a 1/4 cup of tomato paste and it was delicious.

I imagine your idea would work just fine.

Excellent - thanks for the feedback. Spaghetti pie is now officially on the menu for this week. I can't wait to try it!
