Ok, I'm starting this for Fay, her message:

Sorry to be posting in your "reply" area but I'm a new member and haven't figured out how to begin an original(?) post. I stumbled upon the CornmealCrisp Cookies, printed it, then realized I had a question about selfrising versus plain cornmeal. Could I sub one for the other? Anyone on this board know how I can contact the person who submited the recipe? Thanks, Fay

And Fay, I don't know the answer to your Cornmeal question, but to start a new post, to the left of the "Post Reply" button, there's a "New Thread" button. That's what you use, hope that helps :)

To use plain cornmeal in a recipe calling for self rising:

substitute 2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt into 1 1/2 cups plain cornmeal for the self rising cornmeal
