Some of CL's recipes call for egg substitute. I bought some once and used what I needed in the recipe and scrambled the rest for breakfast to use them up. I didn't say a word to my husband about what they were. He took one bite and said "what's this!" They did taste awful. I don't remember what brand I bought, but are some better than others?

My mom uses egg beaters, which I have used in some CL cakes too.

I have used egg-beaters as well. But when I use them for scrambled, I find you really have to whip them good and then I use them for an omlette, adding green onions, minced ham and low-fat cheese because I think they're pretty gruesome on their own!

I use egg-beaters a lot and I don't think that you can tell much difference(at least to me). You can add so many things to eggs that if you didn't like the taste you could kind of cover it up.

We had them for breakfast. I use any brand. I find it helps with any type of egg -- whole egg or egg substitute -- to splash in a few dashes of Tabasco. Maybe because I live in the South -- we do love our hot sauce. I even use it when I make popcorn!

This morning, I splashed in the Tabasco, chopped onion, and pepper jack soy cheese -- regular cheese would, of course, work just as well. We dribbled picante sauce over the top. The red color is a pretty contrast with the yellow egg. They were very good!

We have scrambled egg beaters all the time and really love them, although they do take some getting used to.

Just like everyone else mentioned, they are much better when combined with other ingredients, like in an omelet.

Try sauteeing some fresh sliced mushrooms in a little cooking spray. Pour in the Egg Beaters with some salt and pepper and scramble. We love these!

When scrambling eggs, if you add just a small splash of milk to the beaten and seasoned eggs, it will make them fluffier and more moist.

I've used Egg Beaters, the store brand, and lately Nulaid. I just add a little salt and pepper when scrambling. My 'picky' son tried it and actually liked them. All a matter of taste I guess!
