I tried this recipe this weekend and thought the strong cumin totally obliterated the pork roast taste. The pork itself was very tender but I won't repeat the seasoning. The carmelized onions that were with the roast were very good.

Thanks for the feedback. It was on my list to try and I just hate to buy cuts of meat and not get my money's worth.

ElinorC - I'm making this on Sun for our CL Supper Club. Do you think it would be OK if I reduced the amount of cumin? Thanks.

It probably would be better with a reduced amount of cumin. I'm just not too fond of cumin so that probably helps explain why I didn't like it. I personaly think the pork would be much better with a more delicate spice - I like the taste of pork by itself.
