Thanks Beccathebaker for posting the recipe for this soup! It was delicious and so pretty with all of the colors in the ingredients. I hadn't tried yellow split peas before and will surely use them again. I added a little balsamic vinegar at the end to add a little more acid to bring out the flavor and mistakenly added more chili powder than called for but otherwise followed the recipe. I like chunky soups so I didn't puree it much.

Bumping this up so hopefully Beccathebaker sees it!!! I made this soup too, (even got golden split peas even though I had some green ones!) and LOVED it! I was really convinced after making this soup to buy the Moosewood cooks lowfat cookbook and ordered it off half.com.
