Yesterday I got the Premiere collector's issue of Light & Tasy (Taste of Home's but light)
It looks interesting & has about 90 recipes. The ncredible thing is NO ADS! It has some veggie stir frys, meatless chili and lasagnaan interesting Raspberry cream cake . Theres a 5 cheese stuffed shells that seems very nice for meatless dinners. Oh for the bean lovers theres a bean salad and Pinto beans with kielbasa. I have to look at the mag more but so far is nice. Taste of Home was ok butt not healthy.

I got this last week-- it was so horribly designed that it ended up in the garbage. I'd much rather stick with CL, ads and all.

I've been receiving Light & Tasty for about a year now. I also subscribe to Taste of Home. I like Light & Tasty. Though I'm not crazy about the clip & save recipe section. I prefer the recipes to be all on one side. Personally, I have not made any of the recipes to date. No reason--just have so many others to try. My mom subscribes and occasionally makes Light & Tasty recipes and she says they're good.

I received Light and Tasty about a year ago for a Christmas present. Don't bother. The recipes aren't very exciting, and although the pictures may look glossy, nothing looks that great. I wasn't impressed.

Thanks for your input. I get many cooking magazines & don't want to add to my list if its not worth it.
I love CL!

I just got a "sneek peek" issue in the mail that was supposed to get me to order a full fledged subscription. No thanks! The pictures are pretty and no adds is nice but there really isn't anything that I would make. Plus, I don't have the space to store more magazines!

I don't like the design of this magazine either (though ads-free is really nice), I LOATHE the writing where they introduce the recipe and have 1001 corny ways and cliches to remind us how "tasty" it is, and I also don't really like the recipes very much. They remind me of the kind of things my mother used to make when I was little--lots of things from cans, lots of sauce mixes, too much reliance on processed foods. I've made a few things, but nothing that I would make a second time, so I stick to CL and Bon Appetit.
