did you know it's restaurant week in NYC, chicago, SF, & DC?

i just got this in my email (arther frommers travel newsletter) and thought someone out there might be interested. i definitely would be if i lived closer to these cities!

basically for $20-30 you get a 3 course dinner at places that are usually much more pricey, like le cirque 2000 or peter luger steakhouse in NY. the city runs this special to lure visitors and attract business.

I participated in this in Dallas. There the proceeds went to one of the local food banks. If you are going to participate, which I highly recommend - our meal was fabulous salad, steak with a side, and dessert at III Forks for $25 - make reservations early and be sure to mention that you're making reservations for restaurant week.
