Well, I finally made the move from Chicago to Dubuque this week! After commuting and living in a hotel for six weeks, I'm happy to be in one place.
I have not cooked in about three months. Egads!! I've cleaned up my freezer (well, almost. I still have some stuff in my Chicago house:p ) My new Dubuque house has no appliances. (and the crowd *gasps*) I do not like the selection here so I'm going to take my time as the kitchen needs more cabinets, counter space, and of course, appliances.
(I've left my built-in microwave in my Chicago house as well)
So, I have a crockpot to cook with for awhile. I've looked on the other crockpot threads and have gotten some ideas. But some of them call for rice or noodles. Can I cook these in the crockpot?
Does anyone have any crockpot complete meals that they have not posted yet?
Thanks in advance! I can't wait to cut, chop, and have a savory meal that has not been frozen or purchased out!

The rice can be added to any recipe using 1/4 cup extra liquid per 1/4 cup rice.

Kelli,
Congratulations on finally getting to Dubuque! You must be sooo happy!
Since you have already looked at the crockpot sites, I honestly don't have any more sites to add to this post (and am probably no help:o !), but like sneezles said, adding rice and extra water to your recipes would work. I am sure that noodles could be added in the same way-I just don't have a specific recipe to post right now.
Soups, stews, tuna noodle casserole, macaroni and beef, or maybe pkgs. of fresh pasta from the store with your sauce made in the crockpot and then adding the pasta would work as well. I have even added blocks of packaged ramen noodles (use the seas.packet for something else or discard) to soup I have made in the crockpot when I couldn't cook noodles or pasta..
Good luck and I am sure there will be alot more recipes for you to choose from on here..
