I hope I didn't miss a post about this and I am duplicating a heads-up on this Special Edition Cookbook. If so, forgive me--I was excited to find it at Chapters and wanted to let you all know. :)
Do I really need another CookingLight Special Edition--probably not--but I HAD to buy it. Afterall, I have the other two--have to keep the collection complete--right? ;) It is nice to have one issue that I can refer to for the top recipes from 2001--less to flip through when I want to find something that has received top honours from the staff at CookingLight and from the great group here. :D
I'm going to go check it out...
Anna :)
p.s. It has the Buttermilk-Apple Coffee Cake on the cover and includes 134 of the "best" recipes from 2001.
Thank you Crazycook- I hope its out here on the west coast- i will check Chapters tomorrow! Hope you are well!:)

Hi Kima! I just saw it at Border's books here in Ca. I skimmed through it and thought it had the same recipes that are in the 2002 annual. Does anyone know? I am trying to calm down my spending habit for my new years resolution--hhhhaaaa.
Kima-Thank you for the offer on the other book a while back. You are the nicest person, I will keep looking for it here.(I'm talking about " Extending The Table").

Anna....thanks for the heads up! :D I am on a hunt to get one. Maybe today since we have to remove ourselves from our home so that 7 realtors and their clients will be viewing our home today. Its up for sale and they advise the owners to not be there. So off to Borders and other places to shop for 4 hours. I miss you here on the board and hope that everything is well! :D

I had just finished reading this post last night, and in walked DH from a trip to the store for milk. And guess what was in his hand?!
His quote: "I was sure it was something you would need."
How sweet. Considering he was the one who started my Cl addiction, it's nice that he's doesn't mind fostering it a bit.:D

{Kima} and {Sue} :) ..I'm doing well, thanks. Good luck on your hunt. ;) I hope you both are able to find it. Cookinator (great nick!) I know what you mean on the spending---but---but---it's CookingLight! LOL!
I should respond to the post on "addiction", because I certainly am and enjoying every minute of it and will never ever give it up--even if they lock me away--just give me a computer with internet connection and ALL my cookbooks and magazines---LOL!
Sue: Good luck with selling your home and have fun shopping! Are you building your dream home?
Anna :)

We must have posted at the same time! :D
That was VERY sweet of him. I'm sure though he doesn't mind one bit--he is enjoying all the great food your making for him! He's probably hoping you'll reward him though with a special treat from the pages within his offering. :D
Enjoy!
Anna :)

I got one today and can't wait to slip through the pages. We are exhausted from shopping all day to kill time. We went to BJ's, Trader Joe's, Walmart with mother, etc. etc.
Anna....we put an offer in for a Manufactured home here in town. Manufactured home is a new and better name for a Mobile Home. It is 20 feet by 54 feet, double.....looks like a small ranch style home. It is brand new and has a wonderful big kitchen. :D
Found it here in victoria today!! Yipee!! Don't why I am so excited I already have all the recipes but it has nice pictures...:D I think its more the thrill of looking for something and finding it. must date back to our hunter/gatherer days don't you think?
Thanks again Anna- I never would have seen it without your heads up!:)
Mamasue- we have bought and sold many houses over the past 20 years- know how stressful it can be to get the house ready once again and then find something to do for a few hours!! The realtor should pay for your shopping expenses- but don't get me on to realtors...grrr. It was really fun selling a house when I had two kids under the age of 5 to deal with- I went mad trying to get the house spotless (not lived in!!) and then dragging them out of the house when they really should have been napping...not fun! Good Luck and keep us up to date- your new place sounds nice!:)

Sue: The new house sounds fantastic--especially the "wonderful big kitchen" :D I wish I had twice the kitchen space--that would make me very happy! :) I'm glad you were able to find the issue.
Kima: So happy your "hunting" expedition was successful..lol.
Susan: Good luck finding it. <handing you a tissue>

Bought my copy of CL 3 last night. Even though it really is just a review of the best from last year I still enjoy going through it. I made dinner tonight from the sides and salad section - salmon on baby spinich with soy dressing. It was very good.
