For anyone who may be interested, the Arcamax website is offering Master Cook Deluxe for $7.95. When I checked they had 190 copies left (at 8:30 a.m.). Everyone raves about this software so I just ordered a copy. I think it's usually about $20.00. The site address is: http://www.arcamax.com/freebies/zmimcd
I should add that it's an old version 4.07.

That's a great value on software to help you manage all these recipes and get some others, but I wanted to make it clear to others that this version won't have the import assistant that we've been talking about. I know there are other differences, but that one probably means the most to me right now.
The stores now have 6.0 out, and it's selling for $29.95 before a $10 rebate. If you paid shipping, the savings was less than $10. With the number of recipes I'm importing, I'd pay that for the import assistant alone. If you can't part with $30 and wait for the rebate though, by all means, go for it. If found the software I've ordered online came very quickly.
Karen, boy do I hear you! I have a box full of diskettes with recipes from various sources. I figure I'll just try to go through one at a time, even a couple of recipes off one, each time I go into Mastercook, and try to get through them eventually. I had trouble trying to export a recipe and didn't even try the import assistant until I read about it on the BB. Haven't tried the export feature again, but it's easy enough to copy and paste. Guess we both have something to do while others are watching football games, etc. over the holidays!

But I DO already have them all imported into MC. I mean't when am I going to TRY them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oooohhhh. If you ever get to try them ALL, let us know how you did it and if you can still stand or walk (exhaustion and/or stuffed). http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif Well, guess you'll still know wher to find me while the turkey day ball games are on.

I totally agree, Beth. I think the Import Assistant is MC's best feature and would pay the extra money for it. One problem: How am I ever going to get through the 500 recipes I have taken off the Internet (one at a time) and placed in my "Recipes to Try" cookbook??????? http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/eek.gif
