Substitute for Brandy?

I am wondering if you know of a substitute for Brandy. I have a confection recipe for Brandy balls which I use to make. I would like to make them without the alcohol if anyone has any ideas. Thanks. : )

If you really want to make them without alcohol, but still have the brandy flavor, you can make the following substitution:

Substitute 1 tsp brandy extract plus enough water or liquid called for in recipe to make 1/4 cup. This can be used in place of 1/4 cup of brandy in any recipe.
