Another good mystery novel with a focus on cooking is Marian Babson's Death Warmed Up, about a caterer who also gives cooking lessons. The menus make my mouth water, and some of the blunders made by one of the students are a hoot. Alas, however, Babson never developed the novel into a series, the way she did with a couple of her other characters.

Seeing as we all love and appreciate good food, I thought I'd mention an author I was turned on to- Diane Mott Davidson. She writes culinary mysteries, such as Catering to Nobody, The Cereal Murders, The Main Corpse, etc. The main character is a caterer and much of the story centers around food, of course. But best of all, there are several recipes included throughout the book! Not only do you get to enjoy a good suspense novel, you get great recipes, too! After reading the "addicted" thread, though, I don't know if anyone would have time to read anything else but this bulletin board! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/tongue.gif

I have copies of Diane Mott Davidson's "The Main Corpse" and "Prime Cut" if anybody wants them. I'm through with them and was just going to donate to the library's book sale. Just e-mail me with your address and I'll mail them to you. I can either send them both to the same person or one of them to different people. Just let me know.
