I've been crazy busy and now my in-laws are visiting... it hasn't left me much time to post, but I'm lurking and just wanted to say hi to everyone and let you know what's up.

A visit from the in-laws can be good news or bad news. It boils down to how long they are staying! Have fun!
Does your MIL follow you around, like mine does? THAT drives me nuts!!!

Lisa,
Your message was so sweet and simple. First I smiled, then I got worried. Is this message a quiet plea for help? Is it a coded message (words like crazy, lurking, post, not-much-time- what could they mean)? Are you being held hostage by your MIL? SHould we call up the BB posse to come rescue you?
Let me dust off my Wonder Woman corset and I'll be on my way, babe!

I don't think my MIL has one! I have never seen that woman sit down and relax. She is so neurotic. They only visit us once a year - maximum (they don't like flying and the drive is too long for them) but she is the same way at her house. She's great otherwise - never meddles or interferes.

OMG, my mother in law, too! I love her so much, but she can't sit still! Of course, neither can I...anyway, Lisa, have fun w/the in-laws.

:D Yes! And I'm getting the oft heard refrains of... "Let's go out!!" and "Why are you going to so much work??" And on and on... I'll post reviews when I have more time.
I'm really used to it just being DH and me (plus the dogs), so it's really hard to get used to other people in the house. They listen to the TV at top freakin' volume, and leave their crap all over the house. It's also irritating me that DH is working 10-12 hours this week, leaving me at home to entertain his parents. I work from home, and I'm not getting anything done. This week is the first time I wish I had an office to go to!
OK, I'm done complaining now! :D

Lisa - I get this when my in-laws visit too. I love to cook for them, but since they live in another state (they're in VA, we're in CT), when they come to visit it's a vacation for them too. They really enjoy trying new restaurants, so I try not to be insulted that they'd rather go out than stay in. Besides, they also insist on paying ;).
Are they there for a whole week?! If so, you have my sympathies!

OMG - those are my inlaws too. They go out and shop, and rather than taking the things back in their room, they leave them everywhere. We have a large house, so room is not a problem, but I don't need shoes on top of my wall unit - or Metamucil on my table!!! But then again, my MIL is the type that puts things in her china cabinet in the boxes they came in (never mind - another story!!! :) )
