I recently got the above recipe from Cooking Light Web site, but I an unable to find an ingredient called for, it is Garden Brown Sauce. Does anyone know where this can be found or how to make it. The recipe looks so good I want to try it. Please help. Carol

Carol,
I checked out the recipe because it caught my eye! Unfortunately, I don't know what that is either but wanted to ask if you were able to locate the "file powder"? This recipe looks good, but I'm surprised that it only has black beans. I think I'd add more type to it! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif I hope you get the answer, and if not, maybe email Cooking Light.
Good luck!

The Garden Brown Sauce is another recipe in its own right, also available through the Recipe Finder on the CL site. (Tricky, tricky! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif )
Oh, and the file powder is available from Penzey's.
Cheers, Phoebe

Hi Jeanne, The file is available at our small Health Food Store. They call it Gumbo File. Another answer listed a grocery store but I couldn't find it in our grocery in our small town. I think however, it is available in larger cities. Another answer reported that Garden Brown Sauce is another Cooking light recice available to print. So I was very happy about my answers. Carol
