Mealy apples

Hi!

Another question for all you helpful people.

I bought a bunch of apples and they are all mealy (don't taste good for eating plain).
I am wondering if you think that they would be ok to cook with or make apple sauce?

My guess would be that they would be okay, probably better for applesauce than baking, but it may not be the best applesacue you've made since the apples are past their prime. I think that baked they would still be mealy and would get mushier than you'd want. May be someone else can give a more definite opinion from experience.
