My DH brought home two 750mL bottles of blueberry syrup yesterday. What am I supposed to do with it? It says it's good for drinks and desserts, etc. I suppose I can throw it in smoothies for some flavor or something. But what can I do with SO MUCH of it??? I don't make desserts very often.
Thanks,
Chrisi

Yikes! I would have loved that when I was pregnant and going through my pancake craving phase. I honestly don't know what you should do with it if you're not into pancakes, waffles, or sweets. I did pull this recipe off the Da Vinci Gourmet syrup site. Maybe you could try it?
Where did DH get all that syrup?
Blueberry Basil Vinaigrette
Ingredients
1/2 cup light olive oil
1/2 cup white wine vinegar
1/3 cup Da Vinci Gourmet Blueberry Classic Syrup
2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
In a medium size bowl, whisk ingredients together.
Yield
2 cups

That recipe looks good, Claire. Thanks! I love salads with fruit in them and that would be an interesting dressing to try.
Someone along his wholesale milk route gave it to him. DH wanted to get the big bucket o' pickled herring that the guy had. I'm glad he didn't bring that home.

Aside from eating A LOT of waffles...
What about as a topping for vanilla ice cream?
Stir into vanilla (or plain) yogurt
Drizzle over hot oatmeal or granola
Whenever we go to this restaurant down the street, my mom always orders their speciality: duck in blueberry sauce. (If you're into duck, which I am not)

I LOVE pickled herring - in this neck of the woods it's called Soloman Gundy - no idea why?!
