I have wanted one of these forever and just noticed that cooking.com has them for $349.00. Is that a good price or do you think I could find a better deal elsewhere? Their professional one is also on sale but it doesn't come in the color I want.

ebobbitt, Amazon also has it for $349, in all colors, and they're offering free shipping.

I bought mine last year at Linen's 'n Things for $349 - 20% off (they always have coupons), so I got a great deal. $349 is the price I always see, so there is no need to pay shipping for it. OH, QVC had a special a couple of weeks ago, you may want to check out their site at www.qvc.com.

I did it for you. Here are their prices and they seem to have all the colors:

Item Number K54944
KitchenAid 6 qt. 475 Watt Epicurean Stand Mixer

Retail Value $582.00
QVC Price $334.80
Shipping and Handling $15.22

I think I paid 300 at Kohl's when they were on sale (they have sales a lot)

Check ebay. When you search for mixers, you will probably find a link to the KitchenAid store. You could also look under the ebay stores for KitchenAid. They had white ones listed 2-3 weeks ago, and it looked like the reserve price was about $200. I didn't look at colors, but it would be worth looking into.

Thanks for all the info. I'm going to check out varioius places (actually I'm hoping my yearning for this will pass) and see what I come up with.

This mixer is a dream. I use mine much more than I thought I would. You will be so happy. I love it love it love it!

Just be aware at where you purchase the mixer as some models are made for certain stores and the innards aren't as high of quality.

Oh my! Something else to worry about! (Just kidding). How will I know if the innards aren't good quality? Is there something specific I should look for or ask about? TIA

I was on the Williams-Sonoma website once, and they were featuring this Jadite green Epicurean Mixer. I FELL IN LOVE with it, (I collect Fire King Jadite) but at the time was low on
funds:( ...daughter's first year in an apartment at college and went broke setting her up.
When I finally went shopping...(I have to travel 2 hours to shop) I stopped in at Williams-Sonoma and would you believe they had the Jadite colored one on sale for $269.00! I jumped on it!
I remember someone saying on this website in answer to the question, "WHERE DO YOU STORE YOUR KITCHEN AID MIXER?"
The reply..."ON YOUR COUNTERTOP...DON'T THINK OF IT AS A MIXER, BUT A JEWEL!" (or something to that effect) I can't remember who said it...but I got a big laugh out of it...but find myself agreeing, each time I look at my mixer, I feel a sense of pride. I waited a long time for that mixer.
Good luck! I hope you find one at a good price, like I did....it only makes the purchase that much sweeter! Just keep looking...it's out there! I think Williams-Sonoma offers a lifetime warrenty. Just take it back to their store and they replace...I need to find out about that, again.

Elizabeth-

I know if you purchase them from stores like Kohls, Costco etc. they are not the same as those from major dept. stores or places like Williams Sonoma.
