OK, so our dinner was two weeks ago... Here are the (belated) reviews. We went out to dinner in December so our meal included meals from the December issue as well as the Jan-Feb issue.

Caramelized Onion Chicken/ Jan-Feb: We raved about the sauce on this dish. The cooks took some tips from this board and added more onions, so it had just the right touch of sweetness. I was sopping up the juice with bread.

Watercress Salad with Fennel and Citrus/ Jan-Feb: Another winner. The citrus dressing is very light and I thought I disliked fennel until I tasted the thin slices in this salad.

Potato Fougasse/ Dec.: I wrote a more detailed review of this on the board. The bread was easy and looked just like the picture--it held up well overnight and I just warmed it in the oven for our dinner. Perfect if you like rosemary.

Green Beans with Crushed Walnuts/ Dec: A little bland. I prefer the balsamic vinegar preparations, but this did make a good side dish.

Chipotle-Cheddar Mashed Potatoes/ Dec: Deliciously rich and good with the chicken sauce--we added about half the chipotle and that was spicy enough for our group.

Double-Coconut Cake/ Dec: Very moist but not as coconutty as I would have expected, considering the coconut milk in the cake. The cook said she had trouble getting the cake to rise very high--and she has worked as a pastry chef.

Buttermilk Chocolate Cake: This was from an older issue. It has a nice texture but really relies on the icing for rich chocolate flavor.

Jessica,

Thanks for the report and the reviews. Don't feel bad. Our Supper Club dinner was a week and a half ago and I just got around to posting our reviews today also! I must have flown right past the Watercress Salad with Fennel and Citrus. I have some fennel in the refrigerator so I may have to give it a try now. The bread sounds interesting too.
