Hi everyone,
So its the Friday before a three day weekend and I should be estatic. I had a nice Valentine so I should be happy.
But somehow today ended up being one of those days... those days where for some reason you suddenly don't feel yourself, you feel kinda sad, stupid self pity creeps in, going to the gym seems useless maybe all you want to do is curl up and ignore the world....
I'm thinking of taking a bubble bath after forcing myself to go to the gym but no matter what I think of doing I think I'll end up bawling FOR NO REASON!!
Arrghh... so what do you do on these days?
Getting ready to weather out one of those days...

I hate those days, and I've been having more of them lately than I'd like.
For starters, going to the gym ALWAYS makes me feel better. Challenge yourself and when you finish, you'll feel good about what you've accomplished and know that you earned a well-deserved bubble bath! Then relax the rest of the day if you can. Curl up with a good book, a movie you've been wanting to see, a warm puppy & the Winter Olympics, whatever. Take a break from whatever your regular hectic routine might be and do something for yourself. :)

Sometimes I find that I just need a day to myself and don't plan much of anything. Happened last weekend. Decided that I just couldn't deal with anyone and everything seemed like too much effort! Knew it was that kind of day when I couldn't be extra nice to the people who knocked on my door with the WatchTower magazine. Just spent the day hanging around, didn't go out etc. By Sunday I was feeling better, and by Monday I was ready to face the world again and be part of the world too. Sometimes I think you just need to be by your self!

If you can get out of the house, go for a drive! Go shopping and hit a few kitchen stores and drool for awhile! They're all gearing up for President's Day Sales, so you might find something you can't live without! ;)
If nothing else you're smelling fresh air and getting some exercise if you don't feel like going to the gym!

Yes. Do that. Then buy wine.

Claire, don't you have one of those 'meetings' to go to or something? :p

I tell myself that everyone gets those days; then I hug my DH over and over and MAKE him tell me how much he loves me...
Then I either cook something experimental or we go out...
I must admit watching TV and tuning out is amazingly cathartic
:o (with my glass of wine :D )

Claire,
If they are serving wine at your meeting I'd like to go too!

I hear ya! Had the same conversation with my sister tonight and we're both one the verge of a weeks vacation!!
I agree with all of the suggestions I've read so far, my nice glass of white next to me here :)
In addition to the mentioned suggestions, do just what you're doing, talk about it! Do it here, call a friend, commiserate with others!! We can relate! Doesn't it make you feel better to just talk about it, kinda gets it out of the system, yes?
So go take that ride, go to the gym, drink some nice wine or hot chocolate, turn on the tube, find something to smile about :)

I take myself to a movie! DH is out of town for the weekend and I've got a whole weekend of housecleaning and work from the office that I had to bring home to do. Oh, boy, laundry, cleaning bathrooms AND working on spreadsheets! How did I get so lucky!
So, I came home, fixed myself some dinner and went to see a movie! Nothing takes me out of myself a like a good flick. I'll get a good night's sleep and tackle this mess tomorrow.
Hope you're feeling better.
P.S. I went to see Godsford Park and I think I have a huge crush on Clive Owen.

Thank you guys so much!
I really do hate days like these but I'm off to bed and I got through it. Hopefully tomorrow will be all that much better.
All were great suggestions. In the end I went to the gym which did make me feel better and stayed longer on the torture machines like suggested so I could challenge myself. I'm so glad I did. Took that bath then got two friends and went for some coffee (I got "Calming" tea)
Ellyn yes posting and getting it out of my system is just what I needed. It makes problems seem so much easier to take when you know there are others that feel the same way sometimes.
Next time I'll go with the wine also.... I'll have to go to the store and be prepared for the next "one of those days"
Thank you again guys... it meant alot.

Sometimes, if you stop and take a deep breath (ok a little meditation) it will help. I try to stop and evaluate the situation and see what's going wrong. At times, when we are aware of the things that are going wrong we have the power to change the direction.

Glad you're feeling better, Romi! Maybe I should join a gym too. Everyone says they always feel so much better after a workout. Hope you have a better week next week. February is almost over.
