Squash/ Broccoli Question, please help!

I am about to make the Cheesy Squash and Rice Pie from the June issue but just discovered my yellow squash has gone bad. Do you think it would be okay to mix the zucchini with the broccoli or should I abandon my dinner plans for something else? Please advise!

Aside from the color difference, zucchini and yellow squash are very similar -- so I think you could go right ahead and substitute your zucchini...
