Low sodium onion soup mix??

I just love Mollie's Cranberry Turkey Crockpot recipe but wondered if there is a recipe or product for the onion soup mix that is lower in sodium. My DH is fine with it but I can feel it in my joints. Any help here with a recipe? I have searched but found nothing. TIA!!

Could you substitute chicken stock and caramelized onions? Beef stock is too time consuming for it to have a regular place in my freezer, but chicken stock is pretty easy.
