Did you know there is a searchable database for CL 5-Star Recipes on line?

Is that the one from allrecipes.com? I think there is a charge for it. I figure I don't need to pay for the recipes since I have the book.

I ordered the book from Good Cook. Oh Well.
I was also a dummy and wasted one of my free books on the Gourmet 2001 compilation. I don't know what I was thinking. All of the recipes are on Epicurious.
I just got the book from Good Cook too. Oh well. I'm probably going to order my one obligatory purchase this week, so it won't be too long before they are asking me to come back. But thanks for letting us know Deanna. It could save typing up some for sharing or putting into Mastercook. :)

Actually, funnybone, it is on allrecipes.com. And there are a large number of the recipes available for no charge at all. As in F-R-E-E to the public; I like that!

Deanna - how did you find so many that were free? I looked and all I could find were the four "preview" recipes -- everything else I clicked on brought up a link to buy the book, but no actual recipe.

Thanks. They must have changed it because they used to have a few recipes only, and then I remember them wanting to charge $9.95 or something like that. I can't remember if it was for the book, or for linking to the recipes on line.
I was able to find them. Here is a more direct link:

Just to clarify...
There are only a few recipes from the Five-star book available. You can pay for full-access to all of the recipes in that book, however.
There are several recipes from the magazine that are available in their general database. That's where funnybone's link will take you - to a selected number of recipes from the magazine - not the Five Star cookbook.
Hope that clears things up!
