If you are familiar with the restaurant Canyon Cafe- then you know about the dip/spread that they serve with their breadsticks before the meal. I have been trying to figure out what the recipe is since the first time I ate there.

So far I believe it is cream cheese, diced poblano peppers (they are tiny) and ???- pimento maybe?? http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/confused.gif

If you are familiar with this and have any ideas, please share them!!

Is it like a chain resturant? I live in Austin. I haven't been to one (obviously) but might like to.

Thanks snezzles- maybe I can figure it out?!

NydiaC- you have to try it!! I grew up in Austin!! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif The one in Austin is located on loop 360 and ?? Bee Caves Road I think- in the Village Shopping center- same center as The Market, Barnes and Noble, Romanos Grill, etc. They have wonderful food (yuppie tex-mex)and a nice atmosphere. They have wonderful tortilla soup and have a new soup, poblano chicken chowder- that is incredible!
