Hi everyone!

My inlaws are coming to visit, actually, we are meeting them in Baltimore, spending the night, and returning to Philly around dinner time on Saturday...

Since DH hasn't made reservations anywhere yet, I was actually considering cooking dinner...

Can anyone recommend a "superfast" supper I could whip up for dinner? Something tried and true? I am not out to "wow" because they are "wowed" just by the fact that I actually cook, so they are easily impressed.

I considered crockpot, but we'll be gone the night before and all day Saturday, so that's not an option....

Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions!

Jen

Why don't you cook something like beef bourginon...if you don't brown the meat first, you gan put it the oven with onions, mushroom and wine and bake it now, Freeze it and you can put it on low in the oven when you come home. It should heat as you cook rice or noodles and make a salad. Voila.

I made the Easy Asian Beef Noodles (CL-Sept-98) night before last and start to finish was less than 15 minutes, including a tossed salad (with bottled Asian style dressing).

I actually made it with scallops and loved it. A bagged salad and some rice or pasta and you're in good shape.

I believe it's supposed to be warming up in the Philly area - you could always grill something (assuming you have a grill).
