Your'e right. I just did a search and she posted on the pregnancy thread on the 8th. She could be avoiding the food sections of the bb like a lot of pregnant members do because food thoughts make them feel sick. It is a given that Becca, Kentgirl, Emilycat and our beloved bean queen are missed too. CathieA was at the last of her postings when I signed up.

Emily's absence is definitely noticable, because there's an active quinoa thread and she hasn't posted. She hasn't posted since Feb. I hope she and everyone else are ok.

I am here- just haven't been checking my computer as I've been going through some more health stuff and I've been just too busy with going in to see doctors and trying to just rest.

I appreciate everyone's concern. I know that in the weeks to come I will be around more. I also just got a new kitten- Daisy :)- and she is taking up lots of my time! Being a mom is a full time job!

Hi Kima,
I've also been MIA. Like Becca, I've been going through some health stuff. I've been away from the BB and from home for about a month. I don't know if anyone exactly missed me, (no one as ever accused me of being really memorable), but I sure missed all of you. I'll only be home for about a week and then I'll have to leave again. I hate being away from the board, but I love playing catch up. I just came on, started reading, and I already signed up for the new Eating Well magazine from Deb's posting; found out that I can stick miso in my freezer; order two Exopats from lindrusso's secret posting; and was saved by JHolcomb's from paying over thirty dollars for "Chocolate and the Art of Low Fat Desserts" that I have on order at Bookstar. She paid twelve dollars. I also picked up some great recipes and got a good laugh over the "Diet Coke Cake" recipe that luckylori posted and had a hard time being understood. I'm going to try it, also using a chocolate cake mix, but I'm going to use chocolate soda! Might be a little over the edge, but I feel that there can never be too much chocolate in this world.

All this, and I've only gotten back into the last three days of postings. No wonder I've missed you all; you have so much life and fun to give.

I was just wondering if anyone had missed me on The Great Food board? I'm happy to hear to after all my posts, people actually were rading what I had to say :)

I am on the pregnancy thread mainly, since I am pregnant :) In these past 3 months (since I've been pregnant) I have cooked about twice. I haven't even opened February's CL!!!!!!!:eek: :eek: :eek: I am starting to feel better though. Last night I made a nachos concoction and tonight I might make a chicken salad.

Aside from not being able to read about food or watch FoodTV (although curiously I can still eat!!!) I am finally starting to think about making food again.

Hi Julia- yes the early months of pregnancy tend to wipe out one's interest in cookijng. When I was pregnan, 20 years ago I couldn't eat salads for the first three months!!

Can't give you any specifics-- largely because it was a very brief note-- but rest assured, folks, Emily is fine.

Kind of a strange thing when people suddenly seem to disappear from here-- you miss 'em, but then on the other hand you think maybe he or she is out in the real world doing wonderful things. Let's hope our MIAs are out doing wonderful things. :)

Hello All!

I've missed you. Since someone asked where I've been I thought I'd give a quick update. I've moved (temporarily) to NC from the west coast and my internet service is spotty, to say the least. That, coupled with some unanticipated health issues, has left me off the boards. I hope to catch up and get right back into the swing of things.
