This recipe idea was posted in our local newspaper, which credited it to a Rhodes Frozen Bread Dough cookbook. I thought it was cute for Halloween dinner! I'm afraid I don't have the instructions here with me, so I will do my best to explain it, and apologize if it is garbled. It is hard to explain without being able to draw a picture, but if you have ever made one of Pampered Chef's "braid" recipes you will know what I am talking about.

Use a loaf of thawed, but still cold, frozen bread dough. Roll it out on a baking sheet or stone into a sort of upside down triangle shape with the point at the bottom. With a knife or pizza cutter, make slits about 1-2 inches apart and 5 inches long on the two long sides of the triangle, starting at the top two corners. Make the slits at an angle, like the sides of the letter V, only not so steep. Do not cut the top edge of the triangl. Place pizza fillings (or whatever kind you wish) in the middle, and starting at one side, cross the long pieces of dough over each other, like a braid. On the top, roll the dough down into a sort of ball shape to make the mummy's head, and at the pointed bottom, make one vertical slit to divde the point into two pieces. Roll each up into a little ball and press together to make the mummy's feet. Brush crust with an egg white to make it shiny, and bake until dough is golden brown.

I apologize again for my garbled instructions. It really is quite easy to do if you can see a picture of it, but I don't have the capability to post the picture. Feel free to email me if you have further questions and I will try to clarify.

Cute idea! I'm writing it down to remember how to do it... Might try it on Tuesday for dinner. My husband would get a kick out of it.
