Am I The Last One???

Am I the last person to get the March CL mag.?? It just arrived yesterday!! As soon as my year is over (Apr.) I am going to cancel my subscription. It's in the supermarket before the month begins, so I think I'll go that route. Anyone else had this problem and decided to go the supermarket way??

erin, That's too bad your subscription comes so late. I've had a few late ones too and I don't know if it helped but I complained to the subscription dept on the CL Website. Of course I live in CT and I don't know what mail is like in Canada. However I will not buy magazines in the stores because I can't justify spending all that money. Subscription rates are so much cheaper. You could just wait until the annual comes out. That's what I would do if I was having subscription problems.. And in the meantime if a recipe looks good on this BB just ask for it! Someone's always willing to oblige.

I heay ya Erin. I had a subscription a couple of years ago. It was so frustrating. We often get CL on the stands here before people in the States but my sub. issue would arrive when you got yours. A few times I broke down and bought a copy!
Now I will never subscribe- newstand is the way to go up here IMHO!
PS Have things warmed up in your part of the country?

Nope, you're not the last ones! I am still awaiting my March issue. I called on Tuesday and they are sending me one out and I'll hopefully have it by next week.

Hi Erin,

I live in Montreal and subscribed to CL for a year. I got so frustrated that the magazine would be on the newsstand
3 weeks before I got my copy in the mail!!!

Needless to say, I didn't renew my subscription; I just buy it at the store now. There isn't that much of a price difference if you subscribe or buy (at least for Canadians).

I let my subscription run out also, and I buy it at the grocery store. I know it costs a little more, but I got sick of waiting until the middle of the month to get my mags. i don't have this problem with BA or Gourmet. I get those in a more timely fashion. I've been buying them for about 6 months, and the extra money is worth it to me.
