Hello again everyone!

Hi everyone!
Gosh it's been quite a while since I've posted here. I've really missed this place. There's been so many reasons why I've been away - problems at home, at work, and with my two boys all came at once. Not to mention problems with my computer too! Nothing really major - but they're problems just the same! Anyway, even though things are not completely 100%, hey, life has to go on, right?

It's been so long since I've posted, I really shouldn't assume anybody remembers me! But if you do remember me...I'm back. If you don't remember me, or never knew me...I'll tell you a bit about myself....

I live in Washington State, I'm 46 and married with two sons. I don't want to bore you with any more details....so I guess that's enough for now.

Anyway...I guess I'll be posting every now and then, and once again...hello to everyone!

I remember you, kentgirl. Maybe it's the Pacific Northwest connection. I saw your name, and thought, "Wow, I haven't heard from her for a while." Good to have you back on the board.

Since you haven't been on the board for a while, check out the "weekend with CL" board. We are planning a Seattle "reunion" the weekend of June 21-23. It would be great if you could come.

And just to keep you up-to-date, there is also a photo thread on the Other Stuff board. Lots of interesting pictures.

I remember you too!

I took a leave of absence, myself, from about July through December, so I know what it is like to be away for a long time and to try to jump back in. Great thing about this board is that everyone here is so friendly... They welcome you back no matter what. Kinda like that "prodigal son" story in the Bible. (ok, well it isn't really like that story. but it just reminded me of it. :) )

anyway, I am so happy to be back. and I am glad to see you back as well, kentgirl. stick around!

I could have the same post as Valchemist. I too had to take a break from the board for a few months last summer and fall. I too was pregnant and would gag just looking at the board!
I was suprised not only how many people remembered me but that they were thinking about me.
It won't take long until you feel like you never left and you'll be addicted again.

I was going through my "recipes to try" file a couple of weeks ago, and came across one of yours I printed. I can't for the life of me remember which recipe..because I was really looking over alot that day..

This is the first chance I've had to read your posts since I posted last night. It's so great to be remembered and I thank you for the great welcome.

Susan--thank you for telling me about the Seattle reunion weekend. I will definitely put that on my calendar - sounds like fun!

I also looked at a few pictures that were posted, but I'll have to wait to see the rest when I have more time. Maybe I'll even attempt to post one of my own. There's so many new features on this board, but what hasn't changed (thankfully) are the people. You are all so great!

valchemist - congratulations on your new baby! I haven't had the chance to see the picture yet, but I will!

Tiger - you had a baby too? Congratulations! Geez - I really did miss alot.

As for me - I'm going through just the opposite -- BOTH my sons are now living away from home - now it's just me and my husband. It's been interesting...
(and why do my sons keep coming back to do their laundry?? Are there no laundromats anymore??)
