I was browsing through my Pensey's catalog and everytime I do I notice the cinnamon bark and grater. Has anyone every bought the bark and grated it yourself? I guess you could call me the Grater Queen! Hehe. I love fresh grated pepper, nutmeg, cardamon and have a grater/mill for each one. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif
Wow! If you do all that, how have you gone this long without fresh grated cinnamon? To the gourmets as you must be, there is a big difference. Go for it, you'll have fun.
While on this subject, I sure hope you grate your own fresh ginger? The difference there is HUGE!

I've never grated my own cinnamon, but I couldn't agree more with you about fresh ginger. WOW; it's soooo much better than dry ground. Ginger root is a staple in my kitchen; I use it so often.

Yep....I forgot about the ginger...freshly grated can't be beat!
