This came into my email from the folks at Kashi:D

Makes 12 servings.

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 cup fat free pretzels
1 cup toasted pita chips, broken into 1-inch pieces
4 cups Puffed Kashi Cereal
2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
2 teaspoons salt free herbal seasoning
Directions:
Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Warm the olive oil in a large roasting pan in the oven (about 5 minutes). Remove pan and stir in all remaining ingredients until pretzels, pita chips, and Puffed Kashi are evenly coated. Bake for thirty minutes and stir mixture once at fifteen minutes. Remove from oven and spread mix on paper towels to cool. Serve when cool or store in an airtight container for later use.

Tips:
If you wish to decrease the fat content of the recipe, just reduce the amount of olive oil to your preference. Just remember that olive oil is high in monounsaturated fat, which can be heart healthy especially when used to replace saturated fat in your diet. If you wish to decrease the level of sodium in this recipe, just reduce the amount of soy sauce to your preference.

thanks, kim!

I just bought some Kashi cereals the other day thanks to your enthusiasm and the enthusiasm of others on the recent kashi thread.

I tried the good friends and the go lean crunch. I like them both, but I like the crunch better becasue I have a sweet tooth.

I think I will go over to the kashi website now...have been meaning to do that.

Are pita chips something you make? Or can you buy them. I haven't ever gotten into the pita thing.

Hey, wow! Thanks! I've been trying to get rid of a box of Puffed Kashi for a while now. This looks like something I could use to get that stuff out of my cupboard! :)
