Don't know if you all have this recipe but I tried it yesterday and it was very good. I used 97% fat free turkey burger, but I used more than 1 cup, maybe the reason it was so good. When I first made it I couldn't see the turkey burger so I added 1 more cup, 1 bay leaf, and lots more garlic.

Weight Watcher's Chili
1 c. ground beef or turkey
1 c. chopped onions
4 cans (14oz) chili beans, pinto
4 cans (14oz) diced tomaotes
2 c. raw shredded carrots (I used 1 c. and 1 c. minced celery I didn't have enough carrots)
2 cloves minced garlic (I used 5 or 6)
4 t chili powder
1 T beef bouillon
salt, pepper, basil, crushed red peppers, and tabasco to taste

Saute meat and onions till brown. Drain off excess fat. Add other ingredients and simmer over medium heat for 1/2 hour. I simmered longer.
Makes 18 cups
1 cup = 1 point!!

Thanks for the recipe. I may have to try this one. BTW, do you know how many points are in the Hearty Bean and Barley soup in the October(??) CL? It has 208 cals, around 3.5 fat grams and 8 g fiber. I was thinking about 4? TIA!

Susan, you should try it. It is wonderful and makes lots of leftovers. I had it for dinner again last night and will have it for lunch. It seems extremely healthy with lots of veggies, beans and barley. Plus, I add one chicken breast half.
