Have had this wonderful drink in restaurants - does anyone know how to make them - it must be a clear chocolate flavored liquer? http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

LenaS,
I've had one too--wow, are they to die for!
I asked when I ordered mine; they used Godiva chocolate liquer, but I'm not sure of the proportions. I don't know if you still use dry vermouth, either, or if the Godiva is a substitute. Let me know if you find anything out! I'd love to be able to make one myself http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

This sounds wonderful! Here's a recipe from New Classic Cocktails.
The Chocolate Martini
Unsweetened cocoa powder, to coat the rim of the glass
1 Hershey's Hug candy
2 ounces high-quality vodka
1 1/2 ounces high-quality white creme de cacao
Use a few drops of creme de cacao to moisten the outside rim of a cocktail glass. Sprinkle lightly but evenly with the cocoa powder. Place the Hershey's Hug, pointed top up, in the bottom of the glass.
Fill a large mixing glass two-thirds full of ice cubes. Pour in the vodka and creme de cacao and stir until very well chilled. Strain into the cocktail glass. Serve at once.
Makes 1 cocktail.
Yum!

Cocktail Note: Sweet Vermouth is used in Manhattans. Dry Vermouth is used in Martinis. Clear vermouth goes with clear liquers (vodka and gin). Colored vermouth goes with colored liquers (whiskey, brandy, and bourbon).

Sounds delicious!!! Have any of you heard of a Pink Prozak? It is a fruity "Martini"... very delicious and I wish I knew what was in it!

I also love chocolate martinis! My favorite is a White Chocolate which is made with Vanilla Stolichnaya and Godiva White Chocolate Liquer. I am also unsure of the proportions, but I believe it is 2:1 vodka:liquer with maybe a spash of creme de cocao.
Another lovely drink is called Death by Chocolate. It is Godiva White Chocolate Liquer and Godiva Dark Chocolate together over ice. YUM
