This was so easy and good. Would be great for leftover pork. I grilled one bnls chop, marinated with soy and sesame seed oil. Then put the soup together. It only took like 20 minutes. I cut the recipe in half, but used all the ginger, onions and cilantro. I had crimini mushrooms on hand, so this is all I used.

So, is this dish "spicey" as the name implies? Or would it be a "go" for milder folks?

I did cut to 1/4 tsp of red pepper and I call it spicy, not HOT. Yes I think you would like it.

Thanks for this review, Theresa, I have two large pork chops in the freezer, and this will be the perfect recipe to use them up for 4 people. I'll just adjust the recipe. I'm sure it will be a hit since the family loves this kind of "noodle bowl" recipe.
:D

I just made this, and it's excellent! Just like in a restaurant. I halved the recipe, but used the original amounts of mushrooms, because this April issue has me on a wild mushroom kick! IMO, the enoki really make this soup.

I couldn't find the noodles called for in the recipe, so I used whole wheat angel hair, which is a little chewy.

But overall, a definite repeater!!!
