While I had absolutely nothing to do with this whatsoever, I'm tooting her horn for her:

I just found out that my Goddaughter, Jenna Marie, is featured on the back of the box for the Fisher Price Family Van. I haven't seen it yet, but I'm heading out tonight to Toys-R-Us or Super-K-Mart to see if they have it, so I can see her precious face on that box!!

The picture was taken about 6 months ago. She is a "model" for several of their toys, and her photo was finally chosen to grace the packaging for one of their products.

How cool is that??!!

DH just found the website for it - you can see her!!!

She is SUCH an angel! Wow - I don't think all kids are cute but she's definitely something special!

How did she get into modeling? Does she live in a big city? My friend has a baby that I think is just going to be stunning in a few years and would love to see her do this. I know someone who's baby did ONE commercial a few years back and that already paid for his entire college education - they didn't want him to be a child actor or anything so they just did the one and left it at that but he made enough to fund his education for life!

Sandy....she is so adorable. I can picture you all puffed up with proudness (is that a word)....I certainly would be if I was her Godmother. :D

That's really neat, Sandy! So are you going to buy the van as a keepsake even though you don't have kids?;) :D

To answer a posted question, both of the kids are periodic "testers" for new Fisher Price toys. Somehow she was asked to pose for pictures (they live near FP headquarters). Her mom (my best friend) was told yesterday that once she gets on one product, she'll definitely be on more. How exciting!!!

By the way, there are no financial benefits, except for $20 when the photo is originally taken.

I stopped at Meijer (sort of like a Wal-Mart) last night, and they didn't have it. There isn't a Toys-R-Us nearby, so we're going to run in to Ann Arbor on Sunday, because yes indeed, I want one!!

Thanks for all the kind words. Those kids mean the world to me, and I was thrilled to share this with you!

$20??! Are you kidding me??? A huge corporation like Fisher Price pays its models $20??? That is outrageous - what adult model would stand for that? They are totally taking advantage of these kids! Most parents are probably so excited to see their kids on a box they don't realize how screwed they are getting!

But maybe at least with this picture she could use it to get other modeling jobs or an agency - she's really darling and could probably do very well, working for more scrupulous companies that would pay models the going rate!

Anyway, just my opinion - she really is a stunning child!

She's having fun, she doesn't look like she's being taken advantage of, and I'm certain that if her mother thought she was, she wouldn't be doing this. ;)

I'm certain that Fisher Price is a wonderful company. And perhaps we don't know the entire story. I just wanted to share her gorgeous picture with all my friends here.

Well, she did it again! This picture isn't as good as last year's, but I'm still so proud of her. She's such a great kid, and I can't wait to see her next month for her 4th birthday. Egads - I can't believe she's 4! You can definitely see the difference - she has grown so much in the last year! Edited to say she's the one on the right, in the purple shirt.

What a punkin! You must be so proud! I could almost see my goddaugher doing something like this...she is the most dramatic little red headed spitfire you could ever imagine! But a cutie, nonetheless!

Hiya Debie- yes, I did get the bus from the first time around. I could not find it here in Michigan, so I made a distress call to Dawn Marie in NY and she picked one up for me.

Not sure if I'm going to get this new one or not. ;)

how neat, Sandy!

I missed the thread the first time around. That was right after Julia was born and right as we were moving into our first home. No wonder I missed it.

anyway, she is totally precious and I think it is really cool to have you very own goddaughter on the box!

What fun. I know my boys would have loved to product test -- and still would for Legos. ;)

I was also wondering if you found the van in the right box. Looks like this is a bigger product -- collecting her pictures could get expensive. I hope they give her mom one! She is so cute and growing up so fast.
