Forgot to mention this in my review of the tofu-tapenade wraps. Not sure if this has been mentioned before (a search didn't return anything... or rather it returned far too much to wade through).

I'd never seen this tofu at the grocery store before; usually Wegmans only carries the baked marinated Soy Boy flavors.

This was the best tofu I've ever had. It was truly extra-firm, it sliced well, it didn't have much water, and it had a great texture. And it's organic! I usually use Nasoya extra-firm, and the Soy Boy was much more firm and easy to work with.

It might be a good "starter" tofu for those who want to like it but have texture issues or find it hard to work with (that was me a few years ago, anyway) ;)

I recently saw and bought for the first time Whitewave Extra Firm Tofu. It is in the refrigerated section and it was, not to use the same words as Gertdog, the best tofu that I ever had.

Has anyone tried the Silk sour cream?

Oooh! I love Whitewave's baked marinated flavors, but they don't have the plain tofu at our store. I will have to keep an eye out for it.

I was so pleased to find the Soy Boy because I have not enjoyed the Nasoya very much. I used to buy a local brand, but they have closed down for now.

Wallycat, SoyBoy makes ravioli? I'll have to look for that too!

Thanks for the tip, Gertdog! I'll have to look for it at the supermarket. I usually tend to buy Nasoya at the store, but really enjoy what I buy in bulk at the co-op. It extremely firm and meaty. Not sure what brand they carry, I'll have to ask, maybe it's Soy Boy! :p
