Hello - I am making the crab and corn chowder tonight that is in the Complete CL Cookbook. Has anyone tried it that could give feedback? Also, can I freeze this successfully? it has evap milk and fat free milk and I didn't know it those did well frozen. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm no expert on the subject of freezing so maybe someone with more knowledge can give you a more definitive answer. But, here goes...I have made several chowders just like this one with the dairy components, and I would be fearful of freezing them. I'm not sure the quality of the defrosted product would be worth taking the chance. If anyone else has ever tried it, let us know!

I have never tried specifically what you are talking about but I have heard that you can freeze milk, which would explain ice cream http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif teehee. I'm a believer that you can freeze anything--give it a shot and see.

Could you post that recipe? It sounds right up my alley...
