I have a jar of this stuff, don't ask how old, but it is unopened. My question is, is it still sold, I didn't see it in my local market? Has any one used it, if so do you like it?
BTW, I LOVE THIS BOARD!!

Yes it is still sold. I use it and since my store was not bringing it back I bought several jars....:)
I use it for CL black bottom cheesecake cups

I used to use it, but switched to Smucker's "Healthy Bake" because it's a lighter color (the "Lighter Bake" made my banana bread look too dark...). They're both great for replacing 3/4 (or more) of the oil in quick breads, muffins, even brownies.

It's great in banana bread -- especially the Catherine's Banana Bread recipe here on the board. It's also good in spice cakes and carrot cakes.

One hint. When you run out, you might as well just buy pureed prune babyfood. It's the same thing -- but babyfood is only 33 cents for a 2 ounce jar so you can buy only the quantity you need and have it stay fresher longer. The Sunsweet stuff will turn moldy after being opened and kept in the refrigerator for a few weeks.
