I want to make "Dracula's Revenge" from October--but I can't find turkey sausage anywhere! What would be a good substitute?

(I'm guessing that it any other sweet sausage would be okay, but would like input from those who have made it).

TIA,
Julie

Check and see if your market has chicken sausage. The meat counter at my market has Bell & Evans chicken sausages that are fabulous!

As you may have read in prior postings about this dish, I used spicy, regular (pork) sausage & it turned out great!
I'm sure ANY sausage would work; just make sure it's UNCOOKED, not the links you'd find in the refrigerated meat (i.e. bologna, hot dogs) section.

I used hot Italian turkey sausage for this dish and it was terrific. I did find that the sauce didn't thicken too well but once it was in the oven, it was fine. A definite keeper at my house.
