Life has calmed down for me this past week, so I've had time to start playing w/ my mastercook again. I got the hang of importing recipes which i'm having fun with- my question is if you find a recipe on the internet that has a photo, is there a way to also import that photo? I know if you can add digital photos of stuff- but wondering if there is a way to get a photo that's already on the internet into my recipe?
I will be very impressed if there's anyone out there who knows how to do this!!
TIA,
Anna

1. Right click on the picture (from the web page) you want to save and choose "Save picture as...".
2. The Save dialog box will come up; choose a location (Save In:)for download (ie. desktop, for example), change the name of the file to one that will allow you to recognize it, then hit Save.
3. In Master Cook, right click on the box in the upper-right corner of a "new recipe" screen and choose, "Insert picture or video".
4. This will open up the Open dialog box which will allow you to select the location where you saved the picture. (ie. desktop). Select the file name for the picture and click open.

I hope I've typed out the directions clearly and that I remembered the steps correctly.

Please let me know if you need further clarification.

If someone knows an easier way--I would love to learn as well. :)

crazycook -

that's exactly how! but for step 2, I don't change the name or even choose a logical location. I just hit "save." because when I get to step 4, the box opens up to just the spot where it was when I saved it. really quick.

once you try it, you will see how incredibly simple it is to do.

Actually, copying the photo is easier than that.

I click right click on the mouse over the picture, press "copy" and then press "paste" on the square in MC where the picture goes, and it is there instantly.

It works all the time.

You don't have to - but somedays that picture sure helps me decide whether the recipe is going to be made or not.

The ironic thing is that I just assumed that everyone did it this way. :)

At one time, I didn't know how to add the pictures and I couldn't be bothered to read the manual, so I figured I'd try copying and pasting - and it worked :)
