Since the site name has changed, I keep editing my preference in netscape. I have also tried pasting the correct site name in the netsite bar, but every time Netscape connects, it reverts to the old site. I am now using Explorer, NOT MY CHOICE OF BROWSERS. Does anyone have any answer for this problem???

Not sure if this is what you mean...but you can go into your "start" key, then click on settings....then control panel and select "internet" bullet and make any internet changes you want on there....or are you refering to something else...sorry if I misunderstood....

I couldn't get the BB to load in Netscape either, which seems a bit ironic, given the Netscape ads, lol!
I'm not clear what you want to do in Netscape? Are you trying to re-set your homepage as the BB?

I have changed the bookmark several times to: http://community.cookinglight.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=8. Every time netscape starts to connect, it changes the bookmark name and comes up with a blank page, or will not load at all!

This is kind of a geeky solution, but switch to Mozilla!
I've switched to using the Mozilla Browser (v 0.9.8) Mozilla is the Open Source version of Netscape. It is really easy to download and install.
You can find out more about Mozilla at http://www.mozilla.org/
I downloaded the browser at http://www.mozilla.org/releases/ There are several versions on this page, so it looks a little ominous. I think release 1.0 looks pretty good.

There is a problem when using Netscape. The webserver is missing one of the files necessary for Netscape to read the page - a style sheet. This file tells the browser how the page should look (colors, fonts, etc.) The reason people are not having a problem using Internet Explorer is because IE automatically fills in any missing code and makes a guess as to how the page should look. Netscape does not do this, so all you get is an error message saying it can't find the file.
I sent a note through the 'contact us' link on the CookingLight homepage, and also posted to Maelynn, so hopefully they will fix the problem soon and all of us anti-MS people can go back to using Netscape.

That explains why I couldn't get on today at work. I kept getting error messages from Netscape:mad:and tried Internet Explorer and it worked. I can get on at home because I have MSN. I thought that I was nuts, actually more than usual and was having withdrawals of the worst kind.
