After much hemming and hawing over the price of the Gentle Spray Citronella Anti-Bark Collar (suggested to me I think by beejay1), we finally caved and oredered it. Our dog, Wrigley, is a constant barker at whatever moves outside, and since we live in a very densely populated area, it's very annoying to everyone around us.
I made sure that there was a money-back guarantee on the collar, which there is (return it within 30 days for money back). We put the collar on her and took her outside. She barked one solitary bark, which triggered the spray, which she REALLY didn't like. About ten minutes later, she barked again and got sprayed, and she hasn't barked again in almost three days! She's been a little mellower in general, probably because she's a little confused, but I think she'll get over that.
I was very worried that the spray would get into her eyes and mouth (even though it's safe, I wouldn't want to do that to her), but it's angled so that it sprays out in front of her face and then dissipates.
The only problem is that it is sometimes triggered by the barking of our other dog, Sparkle, because they often wrestle and growl/bark at each other in the process.
