The orange coconut cake (Nov00) calls for a tube pan. What is that? Angel food cake pan?
Same thing as an angel food cake pan...a Bundt pan will usually work too.

Norma,
I have both tube pans and bundt pans. like to use a tube pan when it's called for; it's easier to get the cake out of the pan. I've had occasional problems with cakes sticking in the bundt pan, and since they are usually non-stick I don't like to use something sharp to loosen the cake before I take it out of the pan. There are a lot of good recipes for pound cakes using tube pans in the April 200 issue. I have not made the orange coconut cake yet. Let me know how it is!

Just to be different...I love bundt pans! I've never used a tube pan, because my mom never had one, but I always thought the bundt shape was so lovely! I remember my aunt making a scrumptious plum cake in one when I was only about 10, and I love the way the indentions help to make serving sizes! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif
